By Salt Lake City Stars Staff /October 27, 2022

Single-game tickets for the Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased at SLCStars.com or by phone via call/text at (801) 325-STAR (7827). The Stars will tip off their 2022-23 campaign at their new home arena, the Maverik Center in West Valley City, on Monday, Nov. 21 against the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Single-game tickets start as low as $14 and include Maverik Center parking.

Key home dates include a two-game opener at the Maverik Center on Nov. 21-22 against the Santa Cruz Warriors; hosting the team of top NBA Draft prospects on the G League Ignite on Nov. 28; and wrapping up the season with a three-game homestand against the South Bay Lakers on March 19 and Austin Spurs on March 21 and 23.

“The move to the Maverik Center gives fans a chance to see the Stars in a way like never before,” said Trevor Haws, Stars vice president of group ticket sales. “There is a different kind of energy around the team this year and we cannot wait to welcome our fans to the Maverik Center to experience this new era of Stars basketball.”

The Stars 24-game home schedule also features select games at Vivint Arena, the home of the Utah Jazz, including matchups against the Ontario Clippers on Saturday, Dec. 10, hosting the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Thursday, Jan. 19, and the defending G League champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Stars games are family friendly and affordable fun, and they offer the chance to watch current and future Jazz players compete on the court. Game night also includes access to the University of Utah Health Kids Zone, featuring bounce houses, balloon artists and face painters as well as postgame player autographs.

The two-part NBA G League season schedule returns with teams playing 16 games to determine qualification and seeding for the annual Showcase Cup tournament from Nov. 4-Dec. 17. Following the Showcase Cup, team records and statistics reset for the traditional 32-game regular season.

New for this season, games that advance to overtime will be determined by a Final Target Score. The winner of overtime games during the season will be the first team to reach or surpass the Final Target Score, which will be the tied score after four quarters plus seven. Overtime will be untimed, and games will end when a team makes a basket or free throw to reach or surpass the Final Target Score.

Further details about the Stars 2022-23 season, including promotional/theme nights and broadcast information will be released at a later date.
