SLC Stars Announce 2024-25 Promotional Schedule

Theme nights include; Pet Adoption, NBA Paint, Women in Sports and a New Year's Day game with a special appearance by Bluey

SALT LAKE CITY (October 14, 2024) – The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today the team’s theme and community night schedules for the upcoming 2024-25 season. These game nights will highlight local organizations, charities, causes and cultures, while activating unique in-game experiences and giveaways for fans. The full promotional schedule can be seen below. More details regarding each theme night will be announced throughout the season. 

The Stars welcome fans back to the Maverik Center with Opening Night on Monday, Nov. 18, against the Rip City Remix. Following their first match-up, Scales and Tales Utah will kick off the Stars promotional nights on Friday, Nov. 11 as Salt Lake City takes on the Santa Cruz Warriors, featuring an educational reptile show with interactive games, face painters, and the returning U of U Health Kids Zone. 

In an expansion of last year’s popular theme, the Stars will host West Valley City nights during four home games over the course of the season; Nov. 23, Dec. 12, Jan. 16, Feb. 28. Stars players will sport WVC edition uniforms, with an updated take on last year’s popular design, continuing to celebrate the unity, pride and progress of the Stars hometown. The first 500 fans on WVC kick-off night on Nov. 23 will receive their own exclusive West Valley City replica jersey, courtesy of University of Utah Health. The giveaways will continue through the remaining West Valley City nights, as the first 250 fans to arrive on Dec. 12, Jan. 16, and Feb. 28 will also receive a free jersey, presented by University of Utah Health. WVC nights will highlight local community organizations and unique fan activities that fans will not want to miss. 

After helping six pets find new forever homes last season, the Stars welcome fans back Best Friends Animal Society on Thursday, Jan. 16, to host Pet Adoption Night in partnership with the local West Valley animal shelter. 

New Years Day will be celebrated with a special appearance by the popular kids show character, Bluey, as Salt Lake City hosts the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for a 3 p.m. MT game on Jan. 1. Bluey will be available for a meet and greet along with various photo opportunities. 

Numerous theme nights will feature custom jerseys throughout the season, including the viral @NBAPaint designs on Monday, Dec. 9,  Autism Acceptance on Wednesday, Jan. 29, Women in Sports / Utah Starzz on Thursday, Feb. 13, and Las Estrellas - Hispanic Heritage on Thursday, March 27. The first 500 fans in attendance for each theme-jersey night will receive a free jersey, available for one night only. Additional information on giveaways, promotions, and activations for themed-jersey nights will be announced at a later date. All theme night jerseys will be auctioned off with a portion of proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations.

Throughout the Stars regular season there will be three games hosted in partnership with the Junior Jazz, the longest-running youth basketball league in the NBA, that impacts the lives of more than 60,000 youth every year. Each game will host all Junior Jazz members and their families, for a night filled with giveaways, concourse activations, bounce houses, face painters, player autographs, and more. Junior Jazz activation nights will be announced at a later date.
