The Stars’ roster is highlighted by two-way players Tyler Cavanaugh and Naz Mitrou-Long, who will split time between the Utah Jazz and Salt Lake City Stars this season. Both players own NBA experience: Cavanaugh appeared in 39 games (one start) with Atlanta and Mitrou-Long played in one game with Utah last season.

Trey Lewis, Jairus Lyles and Isaac Haas were allocated to the Stars from the Utah Jazz via the affiliate rule, which gives players who were in an NBA team’s training camp the opportunity to play for that team’s G League affiliate. Isaiah Cousins, who was also in training camp with the Jazz this preseason, is joined by Deonte Burton, Asauhn Dixon-Tatum, Shonn Miller and Akeem Springs as five players returning to the Stars from last season.

The 2018 NBA G League No. 1 overall draft pick, Willie Reed, brings three years of NBA experience to the Stars. The club’s two other draft selections, Justin Reyes (28th overall) and James Demery (35th overall), will also participate in training camp. Stephaun Branch, who was acquired via trade with South Bay and played last season with the Lakers in the NBA G League, joins Josh Hearlihy and Michael Thomas on the Stars’ roster.
