Stars Acquire Deonte Burton

SALT LAKE CITY (November 18, 2017) – The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today the team has added guard Deonte Burton from the available player pool while Stars guard L.J. Rose is away competing with the Bahamas National Team for the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers.

Burton (6-1, 190, Nevada) played for Lille Metropole Basket Clubs in the LNB Pro B of France last season, appearing in 33 games (31 starts) and averaging 11.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 27.8 minutes of action.

The Los Angeles native previously played in the NBA G League for the Bakersfield Jam during the 2015-16 season. He averaged 9.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.0 assists in 43 games (29 starts).

Rose, a former BYU Cougar, has averaged 2.5 points and two assists in eight minutes per game this season for the Stars.
