Stars Reacquire Naz Mitrou-Long

SALT LAKE CITY (January 16, 2018) – The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today that they have reacquired guard Naz Mitrou-Long.  In a related move, the team has waived center Sidy Djitte.

Mitrou-Long rejoins the Stars after signing a Two-Way Contract with the Utah Jazz on Dec. 23, 2017. He saw action in one game for the Jazz, recording three points against Denver on Dec. 26, before being waived on Jan. 13.

This season, the Iowa State alum has appeared in 22 games with the Stars, averaging 15.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.1 steals in 34.4 minutes per contest . He has also totaled two double – doubles and has tallied five 20 – plus point scoring efforts, including a 32 – point outing against the Memphis Hustle on Nov. 24.

Djitte (6-10, 240, Clemson) appeared in seven games for the Stars this season after being activated on Dec. 11, 2017. He averaged 2.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in 11 minutes of action.
