Stars Longest Homestand Begins Tuesday

Themes include Wizards, Education Night, Buster’s Birthday and more

SALT LAKE CITY (January 22, 2018) – The Salt Lake City Stars begin their longest homestand of the season on Tuesday, Jan. 23 and includes a Food Drive, Wizard Night, Education Night, 5 For The Fight Night and Buster’s Birthday.

Below is an overview of the activities happening for Salt Lake City’s seven game homestand at Bruin Arena on the campus of Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville.

Tuesday, Jan. 23 vs. Grand Rapids Drive, 7 p.m.

  • Only game against Grand Rapids this season.
  • Jazz Dunk Team will perform throughout the night.
  • Bounce houses and pop-a-shot will be in the University of Utah Health Kids Zone.
  • Select Stars players will participate in a postgame autograph session on the court.

Friday, Jan. 26 vs. Austin Spurs, 7 p.m.

  • Series finale against Spurs. Salt Lake City is 1-2 against Austin this season.
  • Canned Food Drive Night benefiting KidsEat! Fans who bring two (2) canned food items to the game will receive a Buy One Get One Free ticket offer at the box office.
  • Sponsor of the night is Smith’s.
  • Jazz Stunt Team will perform throughout the game.
  • Bounce houses, pop-a-shot, face painters and balloon artists will be in the University of Utah Health Kids Zone.
  • Select Stars players will participate in a postgame autograph session on the court.

Wednesday, Jan. 31 vs. Windy City Bulls, 7 p.m.

  • Only appearance by Windy City this season.
  • Wizard Night will include wizard glasses handed out upon entry to the game, as well as wizard characters on the concourse for photo opportunities
  • Jazz Dancers will perform throughout the game.
  • Bounce houses and pop-a-shot will be in the University of Utah Health Kids Zone. Select Stars players will participate in a postgame autograph session on the court.

Friday, Feb. 2 vs. South Bay Lakers, 7 p.m.

  • Game will be played at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
  • Series finale against Lakers.
  • Education Night, presented by Med One Group and Siegfried & Jensen, will provide fun and educational opportunities for attendees throughout the game and also include T-shirt, color changing pencils and sticker giveaways.
  • Jazz Dancers will perform throughout the game.
  • Pop-a-shot, face painters and balloon artists will be in the University of Utah Health Kids Zone.
  • Select Stars players will participate in a postgame autograph session on the court.

Saturday, Feb. 3 vs. Rio Grande Valley Vipers, 7 p.m.

  • 5 For The Fight Night, presented by Qualtrics. A portion of the tickets sold for this game will be donated to 5 For the Fight, aims to raise funds to accelerate the pace of innovative cancer research.
  • Jazz Stunt Team will perform throughout the game.
  • Bounce houses, pop-a-shot, face painters and balloon artists will be in the University of Utah Health Kids Zone.
  • Select Stars players will participate in a postgame autograph session on the court.

Tuesday, Feb. 6 vs. Santa Cruz Warriors, 7 p.m.

  • Buster’s Birthday. Buster T-shirts will be tossed out to the crowd during the night.
  • Sponsor of the night is MetroPCS.
  • Jazz Dunk Team will perform throughout the game.
  • Bounce houses and pop-a-shot will be in the University of Utah Health Kids Zone.
  • Select Stars players will participate in a postgame autograph session on the court.

Thursday, Feb. 8 vs. Texas Legends, 11 a.m.

  • Only day game for the Stars this season.
  • Jazz Dancers will perform throughout the game.
  • Bounce houses and pop-a-shot will be in the University of Utah Health Kids Zone.
  • Select Stars players will participate in a postgame autograph session on the court.
