SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (November 11, 2017) — The Salt Lake City Stars (0-4) were defeated by the Sioux Fall Skyforce (3-1), 119-109, on Saturday night at the Sanford Pentagon.
Naz Mitrou-Long came off the bench to lead the Stars with a game-high 26 points on 9-of-17 from the field and seven rebounds.
Torian Graham contributed 23 points and two steals for the Stars in 25 minutes of action, while Eric Griffin chipped in 19 points, six rebounds and a game-high five blocks. Nate Wolters recorded his third game with eight assists.
Sioux Falls led by as many as 20 in the third quarter, but a late 22-6 Stars’ run cut the deficit to four with 2:20 left in the frame. Salt Lake City outscored the Skyforce in the second half of play and also notched a season-high 16 steals for the night.
Five players recorded double figures for the Skyforce. Tony Mitchell led Sioux Falls with 25 points and seven rebounds, while Erik McCree added 24 points. Larry Drew II logged a double-double with 13 points and 14 assists.
The Stars will next travel to Santa Cruz to take on the Warriors on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The game can be seen on Facebook Live beginning at 8 p.m. MT.
