Stars Announce Training Camp Roster and Practice Schedule

The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today the team’s 2017 training camp roster and practice schedule. The team will also host a preseason game against the Agua Caliente Clippers on Oct. 30 at Bruin Arena on the campus of Salt Lake Community College.

 

Training Camp Roster:

The Stars 14-man roster includes Jazz affiliate players, local tryout standouts, players returning to the G League and players selected via the 2017 G League Draft. The roster is as follows:

Below is the complete practice schedule for the Stars’ 2017 training camp beginning Tuesday, Oct. 23 through Sunday, Oct. 29. Practices will be held at SLCC – Bruin Arena or Zions Bank Basketball Campus. Media availability will only be held after the first practice each day; there will be no media availability for the second practice of the day.

Preseason Game:

The Stars will host a preseason game against the Agua Caliente Clippers on Monday, Oct. 30. The event will be free to the public, with doors opening at 6 p.m. No ticket is needed for admission.

 

The game will give Stars fans their first look at the 2017-18 team, as well as the new coaching staff including Head Coach Martin Schiller and assistants Bryan Bailey and Nathan Peavy.

 

Kids are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and candy will be handed out at the doors. Following the conclusion of the game, the team will toss out autographed mini-basketballs to those in attendance.

 

The Stars will open the 2017-18 season on two-game road trip against the Austin Spurs (Nov. 3) and Memphis Hustle (Nov. 5) before returning to Salt Lake City  for their home opener against the Wisconsin Herd on Nov. 8 at Bruin Arena.
